This Luxembourgish Language Course Changes Everything

I was not sure how to embark for a swift and efficient way to prepare for the Sproochentest. I had basic knowledge of Luxembourgish acquired 4 years ago and found that Sven's program would be exactly tailored for my needs.

I took Sven's course for Sproochentest last year. I initially intended to invest around five to six months to prepare properly for the exam, however due to some unforeseen circumstances , the studies could not be even started until the end of the course access. Sven was kind enough to extend my course access for a month after knowing the reason.

I had to prepare in a very limited time (just a few weeks) considering certain personal commitments, therefore I needed a very to the point and a comprehensive study plan, which was thankfully aligned with Sven’s course. His course helped me pass my Sproochentest in first attempt. This test differs from the usual Sproochentest for citizenship. If you want to work as a teacher it is mandatory to pass this test in French, German and Luxembourgish.

Since I wasn’t able to find anything about the test online and I was only told that it would take about 20 minutes of time I was pretty nervous.

I got a Luxembourgish text, was given a minute to read for myself and then had to read it aloud. There was a lot of smalltalk afterwards. I advise you to study the numbers. There were a lot of year numbers in the text that I had to read. Luckily the numbers are covered well in Sven’s Course.

I intensely studied Sven’s basic Citizen Course for 6 weeks and finished a bit more than 50 percent of it. It was easy to pass the test. I was lucky to have a friend from Luxembourg that talked to me and corrected my written assignments. If you don’t have this luxury, I advise you to purchase the Pro plan that includes group lessons and corrections from Sven.

I will still finish the course because it will help me in my day to day life in Luxembourg.

Given the time I had to learn and other obligations constantly getting in my way, I'm super proud of my achievement and Easy Sproochentest helped me get there.

The speaking sessions played big role in the positive outcome as on Sproochentest you have to speak rather than think, and I know that some friends that got already into upper B1 levels on INL courses performed worse on the official test.

Sven’s course is super helpful in learning and remembering the basics like common sentence structures and constructions. But not only the words and phrases but even grammar principles. Compared to my INL experience, the course allowed me to organize things in my head although I was able to complete it in only ~30% 🫣

Sven’s “Easy Sproochentest” course is very well done, following a clear structure and allowing to be engaged even though studying remotely. Lessons are recorded via videos where Sven explains clearly the theory followed by examples. Exercises are varied, either typing in directly in the platform and getting responses straight away, or submitting an assignment via the tool, or recording yourself speaking and submitting via the platform. It’s also very useful to have access to the Memrise app to practice the vocabulary on the go.
